About Online Schools Compared

Online Schools Compared puts the UK's online schools side by side on the things families ask first: what a year really costs once the extras are added, how much of the teaching is live, and whether the Department for Education has accredited the school.

When we looked, every comparison we found was written by a school about its rivals, or by a blog with a referral link. Fees were quoted without the registration fee, the deposit, VAT or the exams, and rarely dated. So we read each school's own fee pages, write down what they say, link to the page and date it. Where a school's pages contradict each other, we say so.

We are independent. No school pays to be listed, ranked or described, and we aren't connected to any school, the DfE or Ofsted. We check every school's fees at least twice a year, when new fees come out for September and January.

Online Schools Compared is published by Bonkeno Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 10303754). You can check the company on Companies House.

How we work

Every figure on this site comes from a source we link to: the maker, the regulator, the government or published research or reviews. We check pages regularly, and each page shows the date it was last updated. If you spot something wrong or out of date, email hello@onlineschoolscompared.co.uk and we'll fix it.

We don't accept payment to change what we say about a product, and we never claim to have tested something we haven't.
